Default Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookies

OK, so I'm not giving out a recipe this time. Everyone has their favorite oatmeal cookie, whether soft or chewy.

Next time you make them try adding the Hershey's Cinnamon Chips - OMG, it adds such a different twist on an old favorite.

You can usually only find them in the baking aisle at the grocery store in the fall (so stock up now). The package looks like chocolate chips.

If you ever order from NutsOnline, they are now selling the cinnamon chips by the pound and are better quality than the Hershey ones -- $3.99 not bad. They are also carrying the Skor toffee chips which I also prefer to the Heath ones. I'm ordering some on my next order and will definitely try them when I make oatmeal cookies. Thanks for the tip. pea

pea - thanks right back to you on a tip for a good place to order nuts, etc. from. It's nice to know it's a safe site and the quality is good. With so many places available it's nice to know you can order from honest businesses without fear of getting scammed. I think you, also, have noted you order from Penzeys.com for spices, etc. Love their stuff, too!

I have a recipe that I can post if anybody wants it. They are now my husband's favorite cookie and I always have some in the freezer waiting to be baked. Let me know and I"ll drag out the recipe.

Beth, with you being in Ohio too, if you order from NutsOnline on Monday, you have it by Wednesday and they are family owned just like Penzey's and are very reliable and their quality and freshness are amazing. pea

Let me dig it out. I'm running out to a meeting in a few minutes so it will have to wait till tomorrow.

See, if you lived close, I have some frozen dough in the freezer ready to pop into the oven. Now that the temperature is normal my oven is more like to be turned on.

Thanks for the heads up, Pea. I need Skor bits to make the brownie recipe that's in my book, and they've become very hard to find around here.

Glad to know I can order them.

I made a batch of Oatmeal cookies using the Cinnamon Chips. I have to say these are the best addition I have ever added to a cookie.

Next batch I'll have to leave out some of the ground cinnamon to see what the difference will be.

Thanks for the tip.
