Now that's a HAPPY Meal Norm.

I see you are well prepared with the immediate butter replacement in back of the butter dish. Gotta Have Butter with that meal for sure!

The steak looks so colorful.

Did You make the rolls...they are so size perfect.....

It was Boneless ribeye Steaks for tonight.
DW picked up some thin 3/8" thick steaks. I know, very thin, but it was just a trial portion seeing we have digestion problems with steak (meats).
I just pan fried them in a non stick, and added some canned sliced mushrooms and browned everything up to golden brown.

They were good tenderness wise, but taste was not the greatest. Taste 1-10 was a 4.

I'm sure if they were grilled and seared like Norms above, they may have been a little tastier. That was it...no bread either.
We had small cut pieces of celery to munch on for a veggie.
No dessert yet, but I'm sure before the night ends...there will have been some sort of sweets eaten. hahaha

No Jimmy, the bread came from a bakery. The extra butter had been in the freezer and was defrosting. The salad had iceberg, romaine, carrots, celery, avacado, shallots, radish, green olives, and the dressing was

3 Tablespoons honey
1 1/2 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 Cup mayonnaise
1 Teaspoon Grey Poupon Dijon mustard
1/8 Teaspoon sesame oil

I was craving tuna melts so we had a simple dinner of those along with my homemade fideo soup. Perfect Friday night frugality...

Last night we had oven bar-b-q- chicken drumsticks and thighs, brocolli spears with butter and tossed salad, then I reheated some leftover Boston baked beans that our Son sent over. His baked beans are almost as good as mine.

Tonight we're making pizza with the traditional toppings, sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, sweet sausage, pepperoni and a sprinkling of green pepper strips.

Tonight is pointing toward German Pork Sausages with fried potatoes...now that is if DW doesn't Fickle out and change her mind again. Last night was supposed to be Sausages...but she opted to change that and we wound up with the rib eyes.

If I get them out and thaw them now...then she won't have time to change her mind!... Then again,...who knows. I may be eating them by myself! huh!

I made some popcorn flour today. Gonna make some popcorn bread. Tonight is lasagna with garlic bread. Love it but I taste garlic for the next 12 hours and that isn't fun. Tomorrow it will be grilled salmon, sweet potato gratin (haven't tried this yet) and a green salad with Trader joe's low fat ranch dressing. I currently have an oatmeal bread and a barley bread proofing in the machines. I love trying new breads.

Default Tater Tot Hot Dish Fritata!

Had this idea for a fritata a couple of days ago. Finely divide some Tater Tot Hot Dish casserole and use it to substantiate an eggbeaters seasoned fritata. The fritata on stovetop before going into the oven to finish:

The served plate with steamed dressed seasoned brocolli:

It was a hit.
